Old Wood New Life

Old Wood New Life - A work in progress
Three samples of tree trunk with bracket fungus were found along the Lee Valley canal and selected for continuing observation. Mycelium, the vedgetative part of fungus plays a hidden but incredibly important part in the world for our living and dead plants and is doing all the groundwork with regard to preparing these small parts of the landscape and landscapes in themselves, for new life.
Each of the three samples were photographed upon collection and form the begining of this artwork. Their progress is being documented and will be photographed again and presented as a set of six Giclee prints.
