Beacon - Public Artwork Proposal, Host Boroughs, London

'Beacon' is a site specific interactive installation producing abstract poetry. A series of kinetic, wind powered, sound and light sculptures and connected to an online interface.
To be sited along a pedestrian and/or cycle route accessing the Olympic Park.
Beacon comprises of over 100 sound and light beacons. Individually accessible via the web and on site, they relay one word messages between the site and the web and then sequence them along the run of beacons. As a word is relayed, the spinning lanterns emit an arc of light with the sound bite and send it to the next lantern/beacon in the sequence. The beacons connect all nations by facilitating simple and complex conversations, to produce an indefinite, gently flickering composition of light and messages.
The project has been offered full funding and development by Kuala Lumpar University and is now keen to secure a site and involvement of UK Colleges and community.
